The majority of Mobile Mounts’ customers use a pedestal system when mounting a laptop or tablet in their trucks. From the floor up, this standard system would include a vehicle base, pole, motion attachment and a docking station. However, for those projects where additional equipment, like radios, light controls and 12V convenience outlets, need to be mounted, or supplementary storage is required, a pedestal system is not ideal. This is where a Work Truck Console is a much better solution.

In addition to providing a sturdy platform to mount a docking station, the Work Truck Console provides space to mount additional equipment near the front of the box, close to the dashboard, placing the controls within easy reach. Faceplates and filler panels are included to hide the wiring and to finish the appearance of the control heads.

Furthermore, the Work Truck Console comes standard with a flip-up armrest, dual cupholders and a locking file box, that can accommodate hanging folders or be used as a storage bin.

This solution can be used in most trucks with bucket seats and features a ‘no drill’ installation by utilizing vehicle-specific seat brackets (ordered separately).

Features of the Work Truck Console include:

  • 9″ of mounting space for 12V convenience outlets, full-sized radios and lighting control heads (standard faceplates and filler panels are included)
  • Internal, dual cupholder
  • Armrest that can be positioned closer to the driver- or passenger-side during installation
  • Locking storage for supplies, tools or hanging standard file folders
  • Mounting hole pattern on the side of the box for supporting a laptop/tablet docking station
